ROGERSVILLE - Mary Frances Winkle Cinnamon, age 96, of Rogersville, TN passed peacefully into eternity on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023. Born on March 14th, 1927, to Carl and Selma Hoard Winkle, Mary's life was a testament to the enduring power of faith, love, and family.
A member of East Rogersville Baptist Church, Mary came to saving grace at a young age. Mary raised her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in church and maintained her faith in Jesus Christ throughout her life. Mary, the matriarch of her family, embodied strength, independence, and compassion. Sundays were often spent watching gospel singing, and she enjoyed cooking her famous soup beans, banana pudding, and chocolate pie. Her love for breakfast food, Chick-Fil-A, and Pal's vanilla milkshakes were small pleasures that brought her great joy. Mary will always be remembered for her caring heart, strength, tenacity, and grace, but most importantly for her unwavering support and unconditional love for her family. She was deeply loved and will be missed immensely. Her enduring memory will be a cherished treasure held by all who were fortunate to know her.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Sammie Rod Cinnamon; son, Donald Cinnamon; daughter, Joann Cinnamon Janish; grandson, Mark Adams; sister, Pauline Cinnamon and brother, Hedrick Winkle. She is survived by her two youngest children, son, Wayne Cinnamon; daughter, Judy Helton (Charlie) of Bristol; sister, Shirley McBrayer; grandchildren, Michael Wayne Cinnamon; Jennifer Cinnamon Marsh (Reggie); Chris Cinnamon (Amanda); Ginger Cinnamon Smith Hugo (Carl) of Tyler, TX; and Lori Mullins Rosenbaum (Steve) of Bristol; great-grandchildren Wendy Cinnamon (Justin); Jordan Cinnamon (Laney); Cain Cinnamon; Kaley, Olivia, & Elizabeth Rosenbaum of Bristol; and Corey & Blake Smith of Tyler, TX; and great-great-grandchildren Stetson, Martha Kate, Sloane and Isla.
"Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."

Mammy was the most blessed and beautiful ladies you could know. It was so nice to talk to her. Now she is an Angel and with all of her family now. She’s home and don’t have to suffer anymore. Sending prayers, thoughts and love to everyone. You will be missed so much Mammy!
