WATUAGA, TX - Mark "Scott" Dixon, 70, of Watauga, TX, formerly of Johnson City, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023. He was born to the late Raymond McRae and Marjorie (Bovay) Dixon. In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Dixon.
He graduated from East Tennessee State University. Scott was a computer programmer for many years. He always enjoyed his outdoor adventures with Joe, especially kayaking. Scott was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Eric Dixon (Lenzie), Coit Dixon (Danielle); grandchildren, Trever Dixon (Abigail), Grace Hylton (Ethan), Josephine Dixon, Knox Dixon, Raven Dixon, and Sophia Dixon; great-grandchild, Isaiah Dixon; sister, Elizabeth "Boots" Smith (Joe); niece, Mimi Smith; nephews Mac and Ray Smith; extended family in Texas, Jessie and Jeanie Tillery.
The Dixon family will honor Scott's life with a Graveside Service on Friday, September 13, 2024, in Monte Vista Memorial Park beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor John H. Moore officiating.
