It is with great sorrow and fond memories, we share that Marianne Patricia Simonson passed away Veterans Day Nov 11, 2023.
Marianne was born on May 2, 1940, in Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck, N.J. She met her husband at the age of 12 and was married to him for 62 years. Her son John was born July 23, 1958. Her daughter Patricia was born December 30, 1961, also at Holy Name Hospital.
Marianne was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. She was a volunteer for many years with the Interfaith Hospitality Network.
Marianne raised her children in River Vale, N.J. for 19 years. She retired from Mercedes Benz in 1996 and promptly moved to Gray, Tennessee. She met so many wonderful friends there, too many to mention.
Marianne was an extremely compassionate person who loved to help others in times of need. She always went above and beyond to please everyone.
She was an animal lover who enjoyed dog sitting and especially loved her 2 dogs, Annie & Sadie. She crocheted blankets for everyone in her spare time.
She had an infectious laugh and was loved by so many people, especially dear close friends Sheila and Mac McKinney. Also, two of her wonderful friends came to assist as her illness overtook her. An earthly angel, Jan Kincaid, and gracious friend Sharon Raye.
Marianne is survived by her husband, Thomas, her son John in Oregon, her daughter Patricia (Trish) from N.J., her brother Richard and his wife Judy from upstate N.Y., godson Christopher, sister-in-law Bunny from Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Two years ago my life changed forever. The world feels quieter without your laughter, but your spirit lives on in everything you taught me. I miss you every single day, miss the warmth of your hugs. It's been a rough health year for me and wish you were standing next to me. Though I can no longer see you, I still feel your presence. You are my guardian angel now and forever.

Today is really a hard day as it reminds us all that it's been a year since you grew your wings and entered eternal life with God's hands wrapped around you.
It broke my heart to lose you but you didn't go alone, part of me went with you the day God took you home.
In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still - you hold a place in my heart that no one else will ever fill.
Your memory is a Keepsake from which I'll never part, you will forever and always be in my broken heart.
