JONESBOROUGH - Margaret Moore, 94, of Jonesborough, passed away on Wednesday, July 12. Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 15 from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm at Wildwood Free Will Baptist Church, 4331 NC Hwy 42 W, Wilson. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 6:00 pm. Pastors Jonathan Ange Phil Ange will officiate.
Margaret was a native of McDowell County, West Virginia and a daughter of the late Ezra Hensley and Bertha Prater Hensley. She worked faithfully for the Texas Instruments and Siemens Corporation for many years. She traveled extensively and lived in various states, then moved back to East Tennessee.
She was a member of Evergreen Free Will Baptist Church for the past 47 years where she served as a secretary and treasurer of the Ladies' Sunday School Class for many years. She loved her church and church family. She also thoroughly enjoyed working outdoors with her flowers and raising her garden.
Margaret has left behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Carolyn Ange and son-in-law, Phil Ange of Greenville; son-in-law, Allen P. Dickerson; granddaughter, Carol Jean Becker and husband, Jesse; grandson, James (Jimmy) Allen Dickerson; granddaughter, Jennifer Ange Hopkins and husband, Jeremy; granddaughter, Julia Ange Hyman and husband, Chad; grandson, Jonathan Ange and wife, Lindsay; granddaughter, Joy Ange Harris and husband, Joshua; grandson, Joseph Ange and wife, Stacie; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, KL Hensley and wife, Patricia; sister-in-law, Jean Moore; nephew, Kevin Moore and wife, Erica; and niece, Stephanie Gouge and husband, Ed.
Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Daniel Moore; daughters, Judy Ann Moore and Connie Jean Dickerson; and parents, Bertha Prater Hensley and Ezra Hensley.
A committal service will be held on Tuesday, July 18 at 11:00 am at the Seviers Cemetery on Hwy 107, Jonesborough, TN.
