JOHNSON CITY - Lynn Parker Brannon, 89, Johnson City, passed peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the James H. Qullen VA Medical Center.

He was born on April 6, 1936, in Vonore, TN and was the son of the late Lloyde and Lettredee Thompson Brannon

Lynn proudly served in the United States Air Force for 13 years. He worked for American Airlines and attended the University of Arizona before returning to Johnson City and graduating from East Tennessee State University. Lynn married Veronica Jeanette Reed from Rockwood, TN on September 3, 1983.

He owned and operated B&W Travel and Cruise Center in Johnson City for 31 years, where he built a legacy of professionalism, hospitality, and a love for helping others see the world. Lynn and Veronica were enthusiastic travelers and were always ready for an adventure. They traveled the world and helped countless others make their dreams come true.

Lynn was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for 37 years. He served his community, including Kiwanis Club, Red Cross Board, Johnson City Medical Center Foundation, ETSU Foundation and ETSU Pirates Club.

In addition to his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by his sister, Carrie Helen Brannon Bradish.

Survivors include his loving wife and travel companion of 42 years, Veronica Reed Brannon; sister, Marjorie Brannon Klee; nephew, Benjamin Bradish, and his wife Christine, along with their children who enjoyed 30 years of fun and adventure together; and family by heart, Claire Hawkings. A special thank you to wingman, Gary Skidmore for many years of helpfulness and laughter. Lynn had many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to caregivers, Teri Pierce, Treva Crawford, and Sylvia Barham. Heartfelt gratitude to the VA Medical Center for the care provided to Lynn in his final days.

The funeral service for Lynn will be conducted Sunday, July 20, 2025, 4:30 p.m. from the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City, with Dr. Mark Pearson, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
