JOHNSON CITY - Louise M. King, age 98, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at NHC Healthcare of Johnson City, TN. She was born in Clinton, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Chris H. Bible and Callie Etta Swanger Bible. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde King; her siblings, Foya Bible, Jack Bible, Robert Bible, Peggy Cranham, Ola Hayden, and Mary Kate Bible; and one daughter-in-law, Jessie Greene King.
Louise was a lifetime member of East Park Pine Grove Methodist Church. She was a homemaker; she loved to read and sing in church.
She is survived by one son, Ronnie King; two daughters, Sharon King and Kathy York; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. Committal Service and Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in the Garden of the Cross at Monte Vista Memorial Park with Pastor Robert Kell officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
