Linda Weaver Obituary

Linda Weaver

April 7, 2025

Linda Weaver passed peacefully from this life on April 7, 2025, at the age of 75 after a 10-year journey with Alzheimer's disease. Her life was marked by a deep and unwavering care for those around her. With a quiet strength, she offered comfort, guidance and love to anyone who had a need. She had the ability to gently share her wisdom while offering a listening ear.

Her home was always open, and her table was never too full. Sunday dinner at Linda's were a cherished tradition, where anyone who needed a place to belong found warmth, good food and the comfort of an extended family.

For over 48 years, Linda worked alongside her beloved husband, Bob, with whom she shared a life full of love and partnership. They remained devoted to one another until his passing in 2022.

Linda's presence was a steady light to many – calm, kind and dependable. Though Alzheimer's took much from her it never dimmed the love she gave or the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all.

In honor of her wishes not to have a funeral her daughters, Rebecca and Adrienne, invite you to a Celebration of her life and memory at Morris Baker Funeral Home (Johnson City TN) on Saturday April 26th at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Emmaus House Haiti, Appalachian Highlands Humane Society, or to your favorite charity.

I am in shock. This may sound surprising to all of you close family members reading this and her well wishers. I met Aunt Linda back in 2011 as far as i can remember. I am from India, we both met on a township game community. I was around 11 years old back then. Aunt Linda was the kindest and sweetest friend, one can ever ask for. I don't think she would remember me if she saw me but i promised her that i would meet her someday when i grow up and get to visit Tenessee. I also remember her husband, Mr. Bob. I have seen him twice during our video calls. She was a saint of a person, she used to teach me how to properly speak in english. I used to just listen to her to learn how to speak in english. Her presence was so infectious, i really looked forward to talking to her on video call after school ends. Life happened and Aunt Linda was taking care of her mother as she was also suffering from Alzheimer's. Seeing her image now is really shattering me apart, she has the same smile that i remember. I loved her energy and everything about her and i wish i could be there for her during her last time. Thank you, Uncle Bob and everyone who took care of Aunt Lin during her suffering. I hope she is in a better place now. <3

I loved my aunt Linda and am sad she is gone. I had a dream about her and she came to me one last time. Our family lost its closeness over the years. I did not get to be there as a nephew should. But I know she kept me in her heart and prayed for me in silence. I love you aunt Linda and will always miss you and uncle Bob.
