October 14, 1942 – November 7, 2023
JOHNSON CITY - Linda Rose Erwin Walters, our mother and grandmother-known affectionally as Memaw to Taylor and Callee, whom she lived with for many years and loved dearly-passed away on November 7, 2023, after a long battle with MDS. Born to Charles and Lula Erwin on October 14, 1942, she was the oldest of six siblings and a lifelong member of the Johnson City, Tennessee community. She is survived by siblings Dorothy Coomer, Charles Erwin, and Susan Erwin; her three married children, Todd and Wendy Walters, Christopher and Sherry Walters, and Julie Anne and Robert Carver; her eleven grandchildren; and her three great-grandchildren. She had a gift for decorating to make a space beautiful and inviting; she loved crafting with her sisters, adored autumn, enjoyed walking outdoors, had a quirky sense of humor, and imparted her deep love for God and her faith into her children. A celebration of life will be held by friends and family at Clark Street Baptist Church in Johnson City on November 18, 2023, from 2-5pm.

I´ll always remember Linda´s interest in classes I would teach on Daniel and Revelation. That plus her dedication to prayer.
