Mrs. Lillian Begley Shaw

JONESBOROUGH - Mrs. Lillian Begley Shaw, Jonesborough, age 90, passed away on Sunday August 17, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City TN.

Mrs. Shaw was born in Fort Blackmore, VA to the late Robert and Sally Sluss Begley. Mrs. Shaw was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Lawrence Shaw Sr., son Charles Lawrence Shaw Jr., daughter Brenda Shaw McCourry, grandson Shannon Shaw, and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Shaw was a life time member of the Jonesboro Rescue Squad Crewette's. She enjoyed doing puzzles, of any kind, gardening and canning, especially pickles.

Survivors include grandchildren, Paul McCourry (Melissa), Joe Shaw, Mark McCourry (Melissa), Katina Allen (Wayne), Brad Shaw (Veronica); great-grandchildren, Joseph Shaw, Justin Shaw (Destiny), Charleigh Shaw, Caleb McCourry, Gage McCourry, Ethan Hicks, Victoria Pleasant (Sam), Cameron Hartley, Christian Shaw, and Xavier Shaw; one sister Arnie Begley Bear, and son-in-law Timmy McCourry.

The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to Ballad Hospice for the loving care.

The family will receive family and friends Tuesday August 19, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Jonesborough Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Mrs. Shaw will Be Wednesday August 20, 2025 11:00 am at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Pallbears will be family and friends.
