JONESBOROUGH - Lillian Emma Constant, 82, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025. Born on July 29, 1943, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, she lived a life marked by service, compassion, and dedication to her community and faith.

Lillian studied at East Tennessee State University. Her work was more than a job-it was a calling, and she took pride in making a difference in the lives of others. She worked in many different areas but ended her career by working with the blind.

A devoted member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church. Lillian served as a Sunday School teacher and worked for years in the Bus Ministry, bringing hundreds of children, teens, and adults to church over many years of service. Faithfully guiding others in their spiritual walk with warmth, wisdom, and kindness. She also sang in the church choir and served in other service ministries of the church.

Lillian was also active in several organizations throughout her life. She was a committed member of the March of Dimes, the Eastern Star, and the Daniel Boone Car Club-where her love of classic cars brought her joy and lasting friendships.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Edna Constant; her brothers, James, Steve, and Dean Constant; and her sister, Linda Jane Constant.

She is survived by her beloved nieces: Angela Wolfe, Christine Smith, DeAnna Dykes, and Charity Constant. She also leaves behind so many dear friends both at her church and her neighborhood, whom she expressed over and over her love for.

Lillian will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her servant's heart, and the quiet strength with which she lived. Her legacy of kindness and devotion lives on in the many lives she touched.

A celebration of her life will be held at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church, 197 Suncrest St, Gray, Tennessee, 37615 on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 4:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to visit two hours prior to the service beginning at 2:00pm. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 30, 2025 in Oakdale Cemetery, intersection of 6th Avenue W. and Valley Street Hendersonville, North Carolina, 28792.
