March 29, 1937 – January 10, 2025
Latrica “Trish” Ann Kendrick, age 87, of Kingsport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 10, 2025, in Pooler, GA. Trish was born on March 29, 1937 in Wise, VA to the late, William Dewey Beverly and Lillie (Scott) Beverly; the sixth child of eight children. Trish has lived many years in Kingsport TN where she met the love of her life, Bobby Kendrick, while working for Tennessee Eastman.
She is preceded in death by parents, brothers James Beverly, Kenneth Beverly and sisters, Chollie Absher, Aldeane Stanley and Janet Beverly.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bobby L Kendrick, who was the Love of her Life. Her children are Leigh Anne Broadus (Marty) of McHenry, MS, Robert L Kendrick (Cindy) of Pooler, GA and John D Kendrick (Darla) of Concord, NC. Her grandchildren are Nicholas, James “Mikey,” Rochelle, Alex, Kaleigh, Zane and Kruz. Her great grandchildren are McKenzie, Trindon, Graelyn, Anabelle, Abigail and Evelynn. Her brother is William Dewey Beverly, Jr. and her sister is Theo Beverly and there are many nieces and nephews.
Her greatest source of pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved “a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.”
She enjoyed tending her flower gardens at their various homes, having the hummingbirds come during the year, as well as crafting and traveling with Bobby. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished her family get-togethers and reunions. Trish also enjoyed cooking and baking; making pecan pies for “Bo” since it was one of his favorites. She also hosted his office staff for “Cabin lunches,” at their log home, when he worked for Tennessee Eastman.
The family would like to thank the compassionate caregivers at Visiting Angels in Kingsport TN, especially Gerrie Pope, who helped her navigate thru her struggles with a knee injury and the onset of dementia during the past year. Also, we would like to thank Brookdale of Kingsport, The Legacy of Savannah Gardens, and Hospice Savannah, both of Pooler GA.
A visitation and memorial service will be held on July 19, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Kingsport, TN. The service will begin at 1pm followed by a visitation at 2pm. Trish’s remains will be buried at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap, VA.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Trish by sharing a meal, a laugh or a story with someone you love.
