Latonia "Toni" Sharon Gentry Hughes

JONESBOROUGH - Latonia "Toni" Sharon Gentry Hughes, 68, of Jonesborough, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Charles and Betty Pierce Gentry.

In addition to her parents, Latonia was preceded in death by her sister, Frenda Gentry, and brother, Carson Gentry.

She was a loving caring mother and always put others first. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything and they were her world. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved going to church when she was able to. She loved going to God's Corner, yard sales, and cooking.

She is survived by her three daughters, Lindsey Hughes (Brittany), Summer Hughes (Chris) and Brittany Hughes (Casey) one son Dustin Hughes; and her grandchildren, Logan Austin Carver (Paige), Chandler Carver, Kinley Byrd, Cayson Byrd, Easton Roseberry, Neyland Hughes, Brooklyn Legg, James Legg, Haven Hughes, Elizabeth Jace Willis, and Caitlynn Bales; and great grandchildren, Cali Carver and Cadence Carver; one niece Renee O Baugh (Chris); special friends, Jerry Hughes, Judy Ginley, Karen McKinney, and Shona Stoots.

The family would like to thank Franklin Woods nursing staff on the third floor, Dr, Schoondyke, Michael Smith and Adam Coe for giving her the best care.

The Hughes family will gather to greet friends and share memories on Monday September 29, 2025 at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 12:30 to 2:30. Graveside Service to follow at 3:00 PM in The Garden of Love in Washington County Memory Gardens with Pastor Trevor Knight officiating.

Pallbearers will be Logan, Austin, Chris, Chandler, Keith, Casey and Brandon. Honorary Pallbearers, Cayson, Easton and Neyland.
