Larry Tittle February 9, 1939- May 16, 2024
PORT ST LUCIE, FL - Larry passed peacefully at home to join his son Mark with his Heavenly Father on May 16, 2024. He was born February 9, 1939 in Erwin, Tennessee, to Margaret (Maggie) Parker Tittle and Roscoe L Tittle.
His childhood was filled with sports and traveling the hills of East Tennessee. He met his future wife Patsy in seventh grade playing neighborhood "kick-the-can". He always stole the can.
Larry graduated in the class of 1957 at Unicoi Co. High School. He had an appointment by then Tennessee Congressman Jimmy Quillen to the US Air Force Academy but could not pass the low pressure at high altitude test.
He graduated from Tennessee Polytechnic Institute, now Tennessee Tech University, in 1961 with a B.S in Accounting. He was part of advanced US Army R.O.T.C. students admitted into the Charter Membership of the R.O.T.C. Gryphons Society where he was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the US Army. He served in the US Armed Services for 2 years and 6 months and was discharged as a 1st LT., then serving in the US Army Tennessee Reserves for an additional 2 years.
Larry worked in the Treasurer Division of Eastman Chemical Co. (formally Eastman Kodak) for 32 years and retired early to live on Boone Lake in Tennessee, boating, fishing, watching wildlife and traveling with his wife.
Larry loved art, art galleries and museums and was fascinated with working with precious stones as a hobby and setting the stones as gifts for his family and friends. He continued to collect and work on clocks as a hobby as his father had done before him. He especially loved Christmas and began planning, buying and wrapping all his gifts in July.
Larry and Patsy moved to Hunters Lake in Johnson City, TN for a number of years and then to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 2013 to be closer to their daughter.
He was a Charter member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Patricia Alderman Tittle, Port St. Lucie, Florida, daughter Scotti Tittle-Cook, Dania Beach, Florida and niece, Julie Tittle-Taylor, Blue Ridge, Georgia.
Larry was predeceased by his parents, Margaret (Maggie) Parker Tittle and Roscoe L. Tittle, his brother Dr. Roger L. Tittle and sister-in-law Sharron (Griffith) Tittle and his son Jon Mark Tittle.
The family will be having a private celebration of Larry's life and private burial services in Tennessee at a later time.

Mrs. Tittle, Billy and I were just talking about you the other day and wondered if you were okay and if you were still in that beautiful house on the lake. We have missed seeing you and think of you often. We especially miss Mark and speak of him often. We are so sorry for your loss. You are beautiful people!

I grew up down the street from the Tittles and can remember riding bikes all the time with Scotti! I often wondered where the family went and it's sad that it took something like this for me to find them. Sending prayers and hugs in the loss of Mr. Tittle.

Pat, sorry to hear of Larry´s passing. I really enjoyed working with him in Payroll. He took care of me when my daughter had to go to St Jude for treatment. It lasted for 2 years and he made sure all my absences didn´t count against my record. He was a great Boss and true friend. Wayne Armbrister
