JONESBOROUGH - Mr. Larry Thomas Guinn, age 71, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Guinn was born February 5, 1952, in Johnson City, to the late Curtis & Joyce Fox Guinn. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Kim Guinn.
He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Mr. Guinn retired from the Washington County Tax Assessor's Office as Chief Deputy. He also worked for General Aviation. He was an aviation enthusiast and loved sky diving. He was a member of the Tennessee Falling STARS.
Survivors include his wife of fifteen years, Bernice Bradley Guinn, Jonesborough; brother, Mickey Guinn; two nieces, Holly Guinn and Christie Guinn; brother-in-law, James Bradley; and special canine companion, "Willow".
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM, Monday, January 22, 2024, at Asbury United Methodist Church with Pastor Jackie McGowan and Pastor Steven Spell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 PM, Monday prior to the service. Graveside services will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Shelton, Keith Stanton, Cecil Quinn, Erwin Mathes, Steve Henley, Doug Fox, Danny Ray Bailey, and Leroy Dunbar. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Devotie, Rich Neely, Bill Price and Wayne Bradford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Sorry for the loss of Larry. He was a nice person who showed great courage in the challenges of life. He was a classmate of mine, grades 1 through 12. The family is in my prayers.

Larry Guinn left a real legacy for us to celebrate his life. He was a wonderful caring husband and great friend to everyone he knew. He will be truly missed. Keeping Bernice and the family in my prayers.

My wife Grace and I are devastated by his passing. From the moment we met him, our lives have been blessed. He opened his heart to us when we moved here and was a dear friend from the moment we met him. Our lives have been enriched by his graciousness, generosity and kindness.
