JOHNSON CITY - Kristi Muskrat, 54, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at her home following a lengthy illness with her loving family and friends by her side.
Kristi was born into the loving home of Michael and Sharon Elliott in Johnson City, Tennessee, but resided in Porum, Oklahoma for several years before returning to Johnson City. She was a member of Walnut Christian Church. Her strong faith and love of God carried her through this difficult time.
Kristi loved spending time with the love of her life James, her family, and especially her grandbabies, who were her greatest joy. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt who was never afraid to show how much she loved them or how much they meant to her. Her mom was her rock and the bond between them was unsurpassed. Kristi always kept a strong and positive outlook on life throughout her courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. Her strength in life was an inspiration to everyone she encountered. She is dearly loved and extremely missed.
Those remaining to cherish her memory include: her loving husband of thirty-one years, James Muskrat; one son, Cody Elliott (Brittany); one daughter, Deanna Muskrat; one stepson, Dustin Muskrat (Michelle); her father and mother Michael and Sharon Elliott; two brothers, Mike Elliott and Scott Elliott (Gennie); one sister, Traci Hutchins (Anthony); three grandchildren, Luke Elliott, Baylee Elliott, and Wesley Muskrat; several nieces and nephews; and her lifelong best friend, Runae Conner.
