April 5, 2025

JOHNSON CITY - Kim Ashley Trammell, 65, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Kim was born on July 17, 1959, into the loving home of James Earnest Trammell and Mary Evelyn Mitchell Trammell in Monroe, Virginia.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Recruiter, Personnel Sergeant, Field Artillery Senior Sergeant, and Administrative Specialist. He retired from his service in 1999.

After his retirement from the Armed Forces, Kim would become a Fire Fighter with the West Carter County Volunteer Fire Department and an EMT with the Washington County Rescue Services and served his community with honor. Kim will be deeply missed.

Those remaining to cherish his memory include: the love of his life for 46 years, his wife, Patricia Trammell; his daughter, Nicole Trammell; his son, Brian (Jennifer) Trammell; three grandchildren, Hannah Saltsman, Abbi Trammell and Riley Trammell; two brothers, Gary (Kathy) Trammell and C.R. (Debbie) Trammell; and a niece and nephew, Paige Trammell and Alex Trammell.

A visitation of friends is scheduled from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Monday April 14, 2025, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in the Dogwood Chapel. The funeral service will begin following the visitation at 7:00 pm. The Chaplain of the West Carter County Volunteer Fire Department Bob Carroll will be officiating the service.

The committal service for Kim will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday April 15, 2025, at the Mountain Home National Cemetery.
