Kathy Jean Davis April 5, 2024 LIIMESTONE - Kathy Jean Davis, 71, Limestone, TN went home to be with the Lord, Friday. April 5, 2024 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta. She was a native of Youngstown, Ohio and was a daughter of the late Dallas Maynard Holtsclaw and Emma Jean Woodby Holtsclaw. Kathy loved to travel. She enjoyed her mother-daughter cruises with special friends, her trips to Pigeon Forge and a good beach trip with her family. During the Summer her rose bushes were beautiful. She took special time to plan and cook Sunday lunches for the family weekly. Kathy also enjoyed spending time on outings with her children and grandchildren. When visiting, she had the news on day or night. Kathy liked to go shopping, she received great joy as she cared for her kids and co-workers at Comcare. She was very giving of love and never met a stranger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Lynn Davis in 2001.
Survivors include her daughter, Annie Clawson and husband, Chris of Hampton; her son, Scotty Davis and his wife, Lori of Limestone; two brothers, Steve Holtsclaw and wife, Loretta and Jimmy Holtsclaw and wife, Laura all of Hampton; a sister, Jackie Mottern and her husband, Bobby of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Christopher Clawson and wife, Haley, Dallas Clawson and wife, Ashley, Riley Davis, Calvin Davis and Tyler Davis; four great-grandchildren, Tanner Clawson, Sadie Clawson, Brantley Clawson and Everleigh Clawson; an aunt, Mona Lee Phillips of Virginia; also many friends and family including nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Kathy will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Simerly Creek Believers Fellowship Church, 806 Simerly Creek Road, Hampton, TN 37658 with Pastor Jimmy Holtsclaw and Rev. Craig Ponder officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in Voyd Holtsclaw Cemetery in Hampton. Pallbearers will be Christopher Clawson, Dallas Clawson, Riley Davis, Calvin Davis, Warren Davis, Tyler Davis and Michael Holtsclaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Mottern, Roy Gillis and Robin Barnett.
