Junior Tapp, aged 70, passed away on February 11, 2025, in Johnson City, TN. Born on July 12, 1954, Junior dedicated his life to the demanding and dangerous work of tree removal, a field in which he excelled and became a well-respected figure.

Junior was deeply passionate about his work, often stating that no tree was too big for him to tackle. This dedication was paralleled in his personal life, where he was a loving figure to both family and friends. He recently committed his life to the Lord, a decision he was immensely proud of, further showcasing his depth of character.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Hattie Tapp; daughters, Rachael Baber (Beovie) and Wendy Miller (Stephen); grandchildren, AJ, Shayna, Audrei, Noah, Isabella, and soon-to-be-born grandson, Hank. He also leaves behind his sister, Peggy Greene, along with numerous nephews and nieces. His friends, who found in him a loyal and joyful companion, will also feel his absence deeply. Junior was preceded in death by his father, William Buster Tapp, mother, Isabell Tapp, brother, Dougie Tapp, and sister, Connie Brackins.

Aside from his professional life, Junior had a rich personal life filled with hobbies that brought joy not only to him but also to those around him. He was an avid fisherman, a skilled pool player, and took great pride in cooking the best steaks.

A service to honor Junior's life will be held at Oakland Avenue Baptist Church on February 14, 2025, from 5 pm to 8 pm. His life's passion and devotion to his family and his faith will be remembered by all who knew him.
