Judy Ward Archer September 7, 1954- May 21, 2024
With heavy hearts the family of Judy Gail Ward Archer, announces her passing on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, after a 7-month fight against a terminal illness. She was born on September 7, 1954, one of twins to parents, Jim and Mary Jo Ward. She was 69 years old.
Judy was an employee for the VA Mountain Home. Prior to that, she was employed by MEAC for over 20 years. Throughout that time, she made friendships that would last her lifetime. She loved telling her "Hillrise" stories and all the fun times she had with the "Hillrise Girls."
Judy is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jo Ward, her father, James Elbert Ward, and her twin brother, Farlen Dale Ward.
Judy had a love for singing, animals, and reading. As an avid reader, she valued her collection of Grace Livingston Hill and Emile Loring books. Her love of Nancy Drew was passed to her daughter, Carrington, and granddaughter, Kensington. In earlier years, she loved watching Kensington play softball and could be heard throughout the field as she yelled "WHOOOAAA, Nelly!!!" after Kensington got a hit. As Logan, Elijah, and Ethan got old enough, she supported them as they ventured into their own sports. She loved Loren's visits to her house and watching Loren start her own softball career. She loved her family and friends and was always thinking of them whenever she had her retail therapy. If you ever needed someone to fight for you, Judy was ready. Sharp witted and a tongue to match, you wanted her on your side of the court!
Judy leaves behind to mourn her: daughter, Carrington Dailey and son-in-law, Ron; son Eric Archer and daughter-in-law, Robin; granddaughter, Kensington Dailey Jones and grandson-in-law, Samuel; grandsons, Logan Archer, Elijah Archer, Ethan Archer; granddaughter, Loren Archer; ex-husband, Charles Archer; brother, Darrell Ward and sister-in-law, Cheryl; brother, Dwayne Ward; sister-in-law, Peggy Ward, wife to Dale; adopted brother, Daryl Hinkle; adopted daughter, Hope Matee; nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; beloved pets, Coco and Willy; and special friends, Judy Roller and Harriet Tipton.
