Judith Heaton Obituary

ELIZABETHTON - Judith Carol "Judy" Heaton, 80, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday March 16, 2024

at her residence. She was born May 24, 1943 in Erwin, Tennessee to the late Shelby Robert Rowland, Jr. and Margaret Bowers Rowland. She had lived in Elizabethton most of her life. Judy was retired from Texas Instruments-Siemens after 20 years of service. After retirement from there she was employed at Walgreens as a Beauty Consultant.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Elizabethton. In earlier years she was involved in Sunday School, Bible School and the Prison Ministry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jackson Daniel "Jack" Heaton who passed away, November 8, 2003, by a son: Jackson Daniel "Danny" Heaton and a brother: Shelby Robert Rowland III.

Survivors include Two Sons: Scott (Diane) Heaton, Elizabethton and John (Nikki) Heaton, Ozark, Alabama. Six Grandchildren: Lauren (Joe) Arnett, Audrey (Patrick) Kittle, Emily Heaton, Hadden Heaton, Sarah Heaton and Tala Pierce. One Brother: Gordon (Kay) Rowland, Gray, Tn. Also several nieces and nephews. A Sister-In-Law: Janice Maupin and a Brother-In-Law: Jim (Kelly) Heaton.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Lowell Shell officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Amedisys staff for the excellent care she received. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:20 p.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.con.
