MORRISTOWN - Joyce June Moody, 92, went to be with the Lord at 5 a.m. Monday.
She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and attended Beulah Baptist Church, both in Mohawk.
She loved to sew and crochet. She was a seamstress at Berkline and retired after 27 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Moody; her parents: Charlie and Texie Sizemore; a brother: Roy Sizemore; daughters: Debra Woods and Sharon Parker; her father-in-law: Ernest Moody; her mother-in-law: Vallie Moody; brothers-in-law: Steve Stroud, Jimmy Turner, and Butch Moody; and a sister-in-law: Lois Stroud.
She is survived by her daughters: Sandra (Barney) Jacobs and Cathy (Dennis) Woods; sons-in-law: Jerry Parker and Mike Woods; grandchildren: Brad (Nichole) Jacobs, Karla Ottinger, Erin (Rob) Lewis, and Macy and Molly Parker; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Brad II, Jordy, Kayden, and Tyler Jacobs, Collin Mull, and Parker and Levi Lewis; sisters-in-law: Frankie Turner and Kathy Moody; and special nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Fairview Baptist Church in Mohawk. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the church with the Rev. John Rogers officiating. Special Music will be provided by Teresa Byrd, Tammy Fox, and Carol Byrum.
Interment will follow the funeral service in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Barney Jacobs, Brad Jacobs, Tyler Jacobs, Mike Woods, Jerry Parker and Tom Solomon.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Dennis Woods, David, Phillip, and Larry Hurley and Mickey Sizemore.
The family expresses a special thanks to Amedisys Home Health and Hospice in Greeneville for all their care and support, as well as Dr. Theo Hensley and Dr. Prince.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fairview Baptist Church for upkeep of the cemetery in Mohawk, or building fund at Beulah Baptist Church of Mohawk.
