Joyce Davis Obituary
JONESBOROUGH - Mrs. Joyce Elaine Ferguson Davis, age 76, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at her residence with her daughters by her side.
Mrs. Davis was born June 15, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, and was the daughter of the late Henry & Florence Lester Ferguson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jayson Davis.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesborough where she taught Sunday School and was the Treasurer for Women's Ministry Union.
Mrs. Davis was an English/Literature Teacher in West Virginia for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Jody Rice (Michael) and Jennifer Davis (Richy Walker), all of Jonesborough; grandchildren Michael Rice, Jr., Callie Rice, Emma Rice, Eli Rice, and Isaac Rice; and her cat "Pepper".
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 pm Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. David Reece officiating. Interment services will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens.
