Mr. John Clifton Rowe

August 7, 1942 -

February 28, 2025

JONESBOROUGH - Mr. John Clifton Rowe, age 82, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.

Mr. Rowe was born August 7, 1942, in Unicoi, Tennessee, to the late John & Bessie Casteel Rowe. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann Hulshof, and two siblings, Louise Segfried and Kyle "Ed" Rowe.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.

He attended Westerly Heights Baptist Church.

Mr. Rowe retired from Holston Distributing Co. He enjoyed his retirement being involved with church, gardening and landscaping his yard. He was a faithful man of God and loved to read and talk about the Bible.

Survivors include a sister, Faye Howell (Bob), Jonesborough; brother, William H. Rowe, Florida; grandchildren, Alexia Carrillo (Carlos), Deanna McClain (Alex), Jon-Michael McNew (Zulema) and Cheyenne Vance; special friends, Myrtle, Jeanine, Casey, Carly, Charlie and Colten; and several great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 pm Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Pastor Butch Stout officiating.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
