John Puckett, 72, of Piney Flats, TN passed peacefully into God's kingdom on February 15 after a brief illness. John was born in Johnson City to the late Paul Gammon and Nancy Kathleen Puckett. He studied biology at UT Knoxville before beginning work in fire suppression and held a lifelong passion for gardening and caring for his beloved "puppies". John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ellen King. He is survived by his brother Paul (Carolyn); sons, Jesse (Jessica) and Matthew (Tiffany); grandchildren, Zarek, Aidric, Natalyne, Scarlet, Katelyn & Wesley; and several nieces and nephews.

I worked with John for many years! He was a great friend and co worker! I have some great memories of him and he will be missed! Rest in peace John until we meet again on the other side. Prayers for all his family.
