GRAY - John P. McKay, age 85 of Gray TN., passed away July 1, 2024 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
He is survived by his children, Regina McKay, Jason McKay, Tonda McKay, Karen McKay Barker, and Jamey McKay. Several grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife Judy McKay. Brother, Gene McKay. One sister Elizabeth McKay Smith.
The family will receive friends Friday 5-7 pm at Jeffers Funeral Service at Afton. The Graveside service will be held Saturday at 10 am at Liberty Hill UMC cemetery. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery at 9:45 am for the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

I worked with Johnny at Mason-Dickson trucking Kingsport TN.It would be hard to find a better working partner than Johnny.He was totally honest in all his dealings with everyone.A better man would be hard to find.He could liven-up a conversation pretty quick.Condolences to all family and friends.
