Joe Sanders, 91, of Gray, passed away on October 4, 2025, at home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Fitzgerald Sanders, in 2007.
Survivors include children: Jolene Swisher, Arlene (Harvey) Lockhart, Jacky (Teresa) Sanders, Darlene Stephens. Grandchildren: Derick (Denise) Letterman, Kacie (TJ) Manis, Chelsea (Blake) Ambrose, Dr. Morgan Lockhart, Abby (John) Barker, Krisa Stephens, & Anna Sanders. Great-grandchildren: Daxon Letterman, Justin & Hudson Manis, and Eleanor Wells.
Visitation, Thursday, October 9 from 1:00 - 3:00 at Hales Chapel Christian Church in Gray. Service following.
Arrangements: Owens Funeral Service, Lebanon, VA

Thank you for allowing me to visit and meet Mr Joe. He was a character, I could tell. He loved his family and loved farming. I am glad he is at peace. I pray the family will only grow stronger and closer.

Known Joe for40 years or longer. Worked on farm for he and Clifton when I was in high school 61-63 and after in 64-66. Paid well and enjoyed very much working with him. So sorry to hear of his passing. Prayers for Jackie and and the girls during this time.
