Jo Ann Odom April 17, 1937 - September 4, 2024

ROAN MOUNTAIN - We are saddened to announce the passing of Jo Ann Odom, Roan Mountain who passed away on September 4th 2024 at The Waters of Roan Highlands. Jo Ann was born on April 17, 1937 and was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Jo Ann was a dedicated wife to the late G.W. Odom and a loving mother to Loraine Turbyfill, Charles Odom (Sandy), Mary Odom (Butch), Allen Odom (Lesa), Billie Odom, Teddy Odom (Shonta), and Amanda Singleton (Steven). Her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Brandy Boone, Thomas Odom, Logan Odom, Gavin Singleton, Bentley Boone, Braxton Boone, and Bobby Odom. She was also married to Leon Odom. She was known for her kindness and commitment to her family. Jo Ann loved the Lord, enjoyed listening to gospel music and spending time with family which brought her much happiness. She also loved animals. Jo Ann will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2024 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gary Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow in the Odom family Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Teddy, Charles, and Allen Odom, Daniel Boone, Bentley Boone and Billy Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Butch Baumgardner, Josh Brown, Thomas Odom and Gavin Singleton. The family would like to express a special big, big thank you to her 2nd family whom she loved dearly, the entire staff of The Waters of Roan Highland for the excellent care, all the big hugs she received during her stay there. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfc elizabethton.com.
