JOHNSON CITY - Mrs. Jeweldine W. Kinley, age 89, of Johnson City, passed away at Lakebridge Healthcare on November 19, 2023, surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 9, 1934, to the late Sidney and Iva Geagley Wilhoit.
Jeweldine graduated High School as Valedictorian and then attended Fort Sanders Presbyterian Hospital school of nursing and graduated at the top of her class as a registered nurse. She worked at City Hospital in Columbus, Georgia, Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee, and Greene Valley Developmental Center in Greeneville, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Kinley, Jr. and sister, Zelda Gavin.
Survivors include her four daughters, Susan Kinley; Janet Kinley (Jim Metcalf), Amy Kinley, and Dawn Ellison (Jerry); son, Mark Kinley; grandchildren, Jason E. Stratton, Justin Tipton, Travis Tipton, and Danielle Ellison Hill; great-grandchildren, Ford Stratton, Stella Stratton and Virginia Stratton; 2 nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Chaplin Alan Evans officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, prior to the service. A Graveside Service will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Ellison, Justin Tipton, Travis Tipton, Jim Metcalf, Mark Kinley, Tyler Hill and Jason Stratton.
