TELFORD - Mr. Jerry F. Newton age 78, Telford, passed away Saturday November 9, 2024 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Jerry was a native of Johnson City, TN and son of the late Tommy and Frances Casteel Newton. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Newton, brothers, Tommy Newton and Marshall Newton, and one sister Pat Motley.
Jerry loved the Lord, he loved his family. He was a wonderful father. He was funny, kind and wise, and loved Tennessee Vols.
Survivors include his daughters, Abigael Newton and Jocelyn Newton, one sister Delores Leach; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service for Jerry will be Wednesday November 13, 2024 2:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery, 1033 Leesburg Rd, Jonesborough, with Pastor John H Moore officiating. A reception will follow at New Hope Brethren Church, 352 New Hope Road, Jonesborough.

I'M VERY SORRY FOR THIS LOSS. I KNEW ALL OF THE NEWTONS HAVING BEEN DELORES FRIEND FOR 75 YEARS. I SPENT MANY CHILDHOOD NIGHTS AT THE NEWTONS AND ENJOYED THEM.
