Jennifer Jewell Roupas Widener, 52 passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 18, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN

Jennifer was born on May 9 1973 in Knoxville TN to the late James Roupas and Beverly Jilton

She graduated from Glencliff High School in Nashville TN and went on to graduate with honors from Tusculm University in Greenville TN

She loved Biology and Chemistry and later worked for Orange County California water district And then the Army Corps of Engineers Washington Aquaduct.

Jennifer married Andrew Widener on August 7 2007 in Arlington VA. They raised 2 sons, Michael and Christian Widener of Jonesborough TN.

Jennifer was known for her kind heart, intelligence and her ability to give excellent advice to those in need.

She had an infectious smile and A compassionate spirit. She loved art, music and concerts and was an avid reader.

Jennifer is survived by her husband Andrew, her children Michael and Christian , her brother Dylan Roupas, Uncles Tony and Phillip Roupas and Grandfather Joe Jilton along with several cousins. Her best friend Sarah McKinney, Godmother to their sons and other family and close friends.

It was Jennifer's wish to be cremated and a private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
