GRAY - Jeffrey Alan Coker, age 66 of Gray, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Jeff was born on February 10, 1957. Jeff served as the Financial Secretary of IATSE Local 197 for 20+ years. He worked as a rigger and has been a member of Local 197 since September 1975. He treasured time spent with his wife, Kim and son, Matthew. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and spending time with his family, friends and union brothers and sisters. He was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his father, John W. Coker, Jr.; mother, Marguerite (Oakes) Coker; and brother, John Stephen Coker. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kimberly (White) and his beloved son and best friend, Matthew. He leaves behind his sister, Carrol (Ron-Deceased) Purkey; brother, Gregory (Donna-Deceased) Coker; and sister, Melanie (Kris) Miller; and many special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00, Rev. Chris Cupp officiating. The burial will follow the service proceeding to Central Point Baptist Church, 3617 Central Point Road, Rockford, Tennessee. His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
