Jeffery Lynn Bishop, 56, passed away on May 22, 2025, in Johnson City, TN. Known for his humorous nature, Jeffery was a cherished member of the community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was born on July 18, 1968, and was a proud alumnus of Science Hill High School. Jeffery dedicated over 20 years of his career to Murray Guard, where his commitment and hard work were well recognized.
Jeffery was a passionate outdoorsman, often found fishing or camping, activities that brought him great joy and peace.
He is survived by his father, Leslie Bishop; mother, Barbara Bishop; wife, Karen Bishop; sons, Nicholas and Christopher Bishop; brothers, David Richardson, Gene Bishop, and Steve Bishop; and sister, Cindy Milam. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Killen.
In lieu of a service, the family asks for privacy during this time. Jeffery's life was one of laughter, dedication, and love for his family, and his memory will be cherished forever.

Jeff was a hard working husband and Loved his wife with his whole heart. They meet very young and have never been apart. It was both of there first loves.

Jeff was the greatest father-in-law one could ever have. He went home to the Lord two days before Chris and I got married. In our grief, we were saying he wanted to be there so badly that he made sure he would be. During our wedding ceremony, a bee flew around Chris´ head. The exact moments when this happened, the officiant was saying "we're here to hope with you, to support you, to be proud of you, and to remind you that love isn't happily ever after, love is the experience of writing your story. It's not one moment - not even this moment. It's every moment. Big ones like saying `I love you,´ moving in together, getting engaged, saying `I do´ - but mostly a million little ones that come in between the big moments." We are convinced that bee was Jeff, who wouldn´t even let death get in the way of being there for his son to get married. God bless you, Jeff.
