Mrs. Janice Ayers Moore

June 10, 1954 -

January 13, 2026

JOHNSON CITY - Ms. Janice Ayers Moore, age 71, of Johnson City, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at her home.

She was born in Washington County on June 10, 1954, to the late John and Dorothy Bible Ayers.

Janice received her Master's degree from East Tennessee State University and retired from Greeneville High School where she taught Special Education. Janice loved to travel especially to the beach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Buck Ayers, Gene Ayers, and Phil Ayers.

She is survived by her son, Donnie Moore of Johnson City; grandson, Eric Peoples of Erwin; sister, Charlotte Clevinger and husband, Red of Kingsport; brothers, Clyde Ayers, Floyd Ayers and Kenny Ayers.
