CHURCH HILL - Janice Crawford, 76, of Church Hill, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday October 10th, 2024, following a sudden illness. Janice was born in Kingsport, TN to John Henry and Nora Crawford on May 6th, 1948. She was a devoted mother that raised her children and then worked at Snap-On Tools in Johnson City for several years. She enjoyed sewing, solving puzzles, reading her Bible, tending to her iris's in the spring and her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents John Henry and Nora Crawford, four brothers: Mack "Bud", Voice C. "Dan", Roy, and Gale Crawford; three sisters, Vivian "Bea" Derrick, Carol Crawford, and Dale Munsey.

Janice is survived by her son, Shawn Minnich (Wendy) of Rockwall, TX and Michelle (Minnich) Davenport of Church Hill, TN. Grandchildren are Halley Davenport (Billy Shaffer) of Blountville, TN, Kenley Davenport (Colton Grills) of Nickelsville, VA, Kalyn Davenport of Church Hill, TN, Alicia Minnich and Ryan Minnich of Rockwall, TX, and one great grandchild Cason Shaffer. Janice has one surviving brother, James Crawford (Bobbie) of Surgoinsville, TN and two sisters, Shirley Jobe of Church Hill, TN and Minnie Ellen Falin of Kingsport, TN. Janice had several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home in Church Hill, TN on Sunday, October 13th from 5-7p.m with a funeral service immediately following. Pastor Danny Dolen of Gospel Mission Church officiating. Burial service will be held at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, TN on Monday, October 14th, 2024, at 9 a.m. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 8:30 am to go in procession.

In lieu of flowers, Janice would be thrilled if you would make memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Holston Valley Medical Center ICU team and the Wilcox Hall Hospice Unit.
