James Greene Obituary

JONESBOROUGH - James "Jim" Edward Greene, Sr., 81 of Jonesborough, TN, member of Gregg's Chapel, triumphantly and peacefully entered into rest with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. His wife and family were the joy of his life. Jim loved to sing and never met a stranger.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rosa Greene; brothers, Paul Greene, David "Kookie" Greene; and sisters, Margaret Grant, Elizabeth Pritchard.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Wanda "Gay" Greene; four children, Jimmy (Karen) Greene, Anita (Gordon) Shell, Connie (Johnny) Browning, Joey (Jenn) Greene; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack Greene and Allen (Dorothy) Greene.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:00am at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Byrd officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
