Jack Head Obituary

MORRISTOWN - Jack Morrell Head of Morristown, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

He was born May 7, 1938, to the late Albert and Dora Head.

He was raised in Carter County and graduated in 1957 from Happy Valley High School. He pursued a career with Norfolk-Southern Railway and remained there until retirement 43 years later. Jack enjoyed the simple things in life.

He was preceded in death by his son, Leonard C. Head; brother, Johnny Head; and sister, Betty Garland.

Survivors include: his sons, J. Greg (Tina) Head and Anthony M. Head; grandson, Anthony C. Head; granddaughters, Ashley Head, Emilee Head, and Olivia Head; dearly loved and cherished friend, Joann Mallicoat; and twin sister, Joyce Russ.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Washington County Memory Gardens in Johnson City. Those attending are asked to gather in the mausoleum chapel by 1:50 PM.
