Hilda Mogck Obituary

Hilda Mogck (née Fredrick) age 88 passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bellingham, WA.

Hilda was born May 21, 1936 in Guelph ND. She grew up on the family farm until her family retired to Kulm, ND where she met and married Duane Mogck on August 14, 1955. In 1968 Duane, Hilda and their 3 children moved to WA state. Hilda worked for many years at the Sears store in Bellingham in various positions. She retired in 2003.

Hilda was affectionately called Gg, for her Great Grandma status. She was known by friends and family for her amazing baking skills. She didn't need a special occasion to whip up a batch of cookies or someone's favorite pie. If you asked for it, she would bake it. Baking was her passion, and we all benefited from it.

She also loved playing games on her computer and phone, which kept her mind sharp.

She spent the last 4 1/2 years living at Chuckanut Ridge (formerly Rosewood Villa) on 32 nd St. in Bellingham. She knew everyone's name, be they resident or staff, and she was well liked by them all.

She is survived by her children, Mona Willis, Rhonda Pederson, and Randy Mogck, along with their spouses and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

There is no service for Hilda at her request. Never wanting to be in the spotlight, she will live on in our stories and memories.
