Helen Miller Obituary

Helen Joyce Miller, age 88, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, following an extended illness. A native of Erwin, Joyce is the daughter of the late Alvin and Edna (Duncan) Miller. Joyce was a long-time resident of Erwin, a retired employee of Erwin Memorial Hospital and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Dugger (Raymond) and one niece, Shereen Wallace.

Helen Joyce Miller has left behind to cherish her memory: sisters: Barbara Wallace of Elizabethton and Jean Foster (Buck) of Myrtle Beach, SC. Nieces: Marlo LaPorte (Sam) of Elizabethton, and Julie Wylie (Bill) of Garden City, SC.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Helen Joyce Miller in a graveside service to be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend David Crutchfield will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Joyce's name to Consolidated Missions, c/o Calvary Baptist Church, 540 Adams Street, Erwin, TN 37650, or to the charity of your choice.

I have known Joyce Miller and family since the early 1950s and I love everyone of them. I hope they will get to know Elizabeth and me better by pulling up my book WHAT IF. May God bless each one. Love you.
