JOHNSON CITY - Helen Freeman Hutsell, Johnson City, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Christian Assisted Living.

She was born in Johnson City and was a daughter of the late Hanford and Myrtle Wiseman Freeman.

Helen was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and attended Milligan College. She was a former member of Tacoma Church of God and attended Hopwood Christian Church. Helen taught Sunday School classes from the time she was 15 until well into her 90's.

She was a loving, caring person. Helen was always willing to help. She was a loving daughter, wife, aunt, and friend to everyone.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Glean C. Hutsell; brothers, Harry Freeman and Herbert Freeman; sister, Elsie Watson,

Survivors include her nieces Karen "Elaine" Lane (Claude), Linda C. Lyons (Shelby), Ellen Faye Welch, Janet Gray (Johnny), Susan Redman (Barry), Peggy Freeman; nephews, Mike Freeman (Janice) and Randy Freeman; nieces, Sandy Scalf, Linda and Betty Jean Clark; several other nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins; special friend, Bucky Farnor.

There will be a private graveside service on Friday at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Thomas Ervin officiating.
