Harold Walser August 16, 2024
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." (Psalm 116:15)
Harold Walser, age 86, passed away unexpectedly on Friday August 16, 2024 at his residence.
He was a son of the late Dewey and Ruby Marie Walser. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Holland, who passed at age 16.
He was a retired electrician and member of IBEW Local Union 934 in Kingsport, Tennessee. He was a member of Boones Creek Baptist Church and the Victory Disciples Sunday School Class. He loved the Lord and his Church, having committed his life to Christ at the age of 12. He was a faithful husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with family. In his post-retirement years, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and his grandchildren. He drove many miles taking them to visit historical sites as well as visiting beaches and family members. He also provided childcare for several of the grandchildren while the parents worked. He was a helpmate to his wife, and they always did everything together. Other than travel, they enjoyed gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, home improvement projects, but mostly just being together. He will be missed by many.
Mr. Walser is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann Walser; four sons, Jonathan Walser (Traci), Joseph Walser (Kimberly), Dean Walser, and Robert Walser; one daughter, Candace Holland (Mike) of Ennis, Texas, and three special "Grand-dogs" (Macy, Sophie, and Ramsey), and his pet cat, "Dolly".
He is also survived by his brother, Alan Walser and sisters, Jo Ann Holley, Jean Tipton, and Judy Mckamey; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers are as follows: Trey Walser, Riley Walser, Landon Walser, Gavin Laughren, David Anthony, and Brian Crowe.
The family will receive friends and family from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday August 22nd at Morris Baker Funeral home. Interment services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday August 23rd at Monte Vista Burial Park.
