Grant Leffel Obituary

Grant Leffel

February 23, 2025

JOHNSON CITY - Grant Leffel, 40, of Johnson City, TN passed away on February 23, 2025. Grant was a long-time resident of Johnson City and a graduate of Science Hill High School.

A remarkably talented musician and song writer, Grant started making music from a young age and connected with others over music for decades. Along with a God-given talent for music, Grant had a gift for storytelling, often captivating a whole room with his perfectly timed jokes.

Grant always cheered for the underdog and spent his life taking anyone in need of help under his wing. He was an avid lover of people and animals alike.

He is survived by his parents, Michael and Karen (Murphey) Leffel of Johnson City, TN, his sister, Kristen Leffel (Jim Levulis) of Latham, NY, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Survivors will live to carry on his memory and continue his legacy of never leaving a lost soul behind, creating music with friends and strangers, and pushing the boundaries of a joke followed immediately by charming his way to a laugh when the joke doesn't land.

The family of Grant Leffel will have a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a local charity of your choice.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family via www.morrisbaker.com.
