ERWIN - Grady "Buddy" McIntosh, age 73, of Erwin, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born on April 9, 1950, to the late Will and Mandy Tipton McIntosh.
Grady was a wonderful dad, papaw, and friend to many. He was also known as Buddy. Grady was a welder by trade, and he retired from doing what he loved.
He loved fast cars, trucks, horses, and coon hunting. Grady's greatest joy was his three grandsons. He loved them dearly and he was very proud of them. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his boys.
In addition to his parents, Grady was preceded in death by his sister, Verna Bailey; brother-in-law, Deward Bailey and his former wife, Harriet McIntosh.
Grady is survived by his son, Evan McIntosh and his wife, Jessica; grandsons: Eli McIntosh, Connor McIntosh, and Luke McIntosh; sister, Faye Ann Bailey; brother-in-law, Benny Bailey; Nieces: Melissa Bailey and Ashley Bailey; nephew, Jeff Bailey; great-niece, Brianna Bailey; great-nephew, Josh Bailey; numerous friends also survive.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 15, 2024, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Reverend Kevin Laws will officiate Grady's 7:00 p.m. funeral service. Honorary pallbearers will be Eli McIntosh, Connor McIntosh, Luke McIntosh, Jordan Lynn, Benny Bailey, Gary Tipton and Bill Tipton.
