JOHNSON CITY - Ginger Ann Hughes, 70, Johnson City passed away Friday, August 9, 2024 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Yancey County, NC but had lived in Johnson City most of her life. Ginger was a daughter of the late Fay and Grace Webb Griffith. She attended McKinley Memorial Bible Church. Ginger loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Charlene Thompson and two brothers, Larry and Gene Griffith.
Survivors include her children, Shanda Cole and her husband, Lonnie of Johnson City and Brock Hughes and his wife, Amber of Johnson City; a brother, Roger Griffith of Florida; a sister, Betty Wilson of Fall Branch; four grandchildren, Sydney Cole, London Cole, Storm Hughes and Cash Hughes; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Ginger will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, August 26, 2024 in the McKinley Memorial Bible Church Cemetery, 3100 McKinley Road, Johnson City with Pastor Lenny Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. For those attending you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 PM.
