Geraldine Oaks, Carolyn Oren and I were always together in home room because our last name started with an O. I always loved being in home room with those two. Carolyn was quiet , sweet and always a caring person. She passed away a couple of years ago. Our class had reunions just like all high schools do and at everyone I was always hoping I would get to see a Geraldine. Either she want there when I could be so I never saw her after we graduated Science Hill in 1958. I saw Carolyn several time and always asked her about Geraldine but we never were there ot together since we graduated. I was always disappointed but my husband was in the army and we never lived in Johnson City except when he was away during tours to Vietnam etc. I usually came home when he was away. Then last week someone told me that she had passed away. I looked for her picture and wondered if I would know her even if had not seen her in 60 years. I found her by seeing her picture in the obituary and guess what..I would have know her by her wonderful smile. That never changed . The only thing that had changed was the color of her hair. It was blond. I really liked both my home room friends and I´m an so sorry I never saw Geraldine after we graduated. She and Carolyn were great friends and I was so wanting to talk to both of then again. I´ll have to wait and have our little chat in heaven....
Loved you both, Prissy.
