ELIZABETHTON - George Ronald Harrison, 74, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the residence of his daughter Ronda. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late George Samuel & Grace Myrtle Lea Calhoun Harrison. George was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. He worked at Thomasville Furniture and also Snap-On -Tools, Elizabethton. He was in a Bowling League, played Soft Ball and loved to listen to music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his fiancé, Ruthie Trivette, two brothers: Elmer Harrison and Farrell Harrison and One Sister: Geraldine Jones.
Survivors include Two Children: George Gabriel Harrison and wife Lisa, and Ronda Lea Dooley and husband James. Six Grandchildren; Johnathon Manuel, Jazmyn Manuel, Abagil Harrison, George Zackary Harrison, Josh Harrison and Gracie Burke. Three Great Grandchildren. Three Sisters: Joann Guinn and husband Claude, Maxine Ellis and her late husband Gene and Christine Hamm. Several Nieces, Nephews & Cousins.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Memorial Funeral Chapel, Mr. Tony Hoss, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be his many friends. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
