TELFORD - Gary Edwin Douglas, 78, Telford went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at his residence with his family by his side. He was a native and lifelong resident of Telford and was a son of the late Thomas and Lena White Douglas. Gary had worked for Gordon-Thomasville Furniture for many years before retirement. He loved going camping and dancing with his wife of 60 years, Willa Dean. They loved driving through the mountains. Gary loved being outside in the hay field or mowing yards with his brother, sons and grandsons. While westerns and Nascar were a big part of his day, being with his boys meant the most. Playing his guitar and singing Johnny Cash also played a big part in his life.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Hazel Hall and his twin sisters, Mabel and Mildred Douglas; also a brother-in-law, Elton Briggs.

Survivors include his loving wife, Willa Dean Street Douglas; three sons, Timothy Douglas, Todd Douglas and wife, Jennifer and Travis Douglas and wife, April; a brother, Jerry Douglas and his wife, Kathy; five sisters, Judy Briggs, Connie Payne and husband, Jerry, Tommie Douglas, Peggy Kilby and husband, Rick and Kay Grindstaff and husband, Bruce; a brother-in-law, Gilbert Hall; grandchildren, Logan Douglas, Jacob Douglas and his girlfriend, Cheyenne, Zachary Douglas and wife, Tori, Dustin Douglas, Elijah Douglas, Aiden Douglas, Kayla Shirley and husband, Bradley, Bryson Foulks and wife, Marla and Kaitlyn Foulks; two great-grandchildren, William Douglas and Everleigh Shirley; thirteen nieces and nephews; twenty-four great nieces and nephews; thirteen great-great nieces and nephews; His fur baby, Issac.

Funeral services for Gary will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Telford Missionary Baptist Church, Old State Route 34, Telford, TN with Pastor Jeremy Dykes officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Telford Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
