Mr. Farrell Ervin November 21, 1943- April 30, 2024
JONESBOROUGH - Mr. Farrell Ervin, age 80, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Ervin was born November 21, 1943, in Washington County, TN, in the Lamar Community, to the late Ben Harrison & Adalene Reed Ervin. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Ervin and a brother, Ted Ervin.
He worked for 29 years at the Washington County School System in the maintenance department. He was also a third-generation dairy farmer-partnering with his son, Keith, where they operated Ervin & Son Dairy Farm. He loved his grandkids and dogs.
Mr. Ervin was a 1962 graduate of Lamar High School.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Pat Ervin, Jonesborough; son, Keith Ervin, Jonesborough; daughter, Michele Ervin Smith, Jonesborough; grandchildren, Craig Smith, Chad Smith, Ashley Mauk (Jonathan) and Brooke Echevarria (Toby); brother, Jerry Ervin; and several nephews and nieces.
Friends may come by Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home from 12:00-6:00 PM Thursday, May 2, 2024, to view and sign the register book.
Graveside services will be conducted 10:30 AM, Friday, May 3, 2024, at Mayberry Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Dykes officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chad Smith, Craig Smith, Toby Echevarria, Jonathan Mauk, Frank Walters, Mike Erwin and Brandon Fender. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Ervin, Dick Ervin, Derek Smith, Charles Odom, Steve Miller, Mike Saylor and employees of Washington County Board of Education Maintenance Department.
Memorial donations may be made to Ag in the Classroom, P.O. Box 313, Columbia, TN 38402.
