Ethel Slagle Obituary

JOHNSON CITY - Mrs. Ethel Slagle, 88, Johnson City passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023. She was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a daughter of the late Nathan and Laura Bennett Murray. Ethel was a member of Dry Creek Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Slagle Sr.; sisters and brother-in-law, Pansy and Roy Harmon and Paula Davis.

Survivors include her son, Eddie Slagle and wife, Terrie; her daughter, Janie Hensley and husband, Randy; grandsons, Jacob Slagle, Jake Troy and Bucky Troy; granddaughter, Lauren Moody; great-grandchildren, Olivia Howard and Layne Moody; two sisters, Bertha Ford and husband, Ray and Wanda Davis; two brothers, Tex Murray and wife, Dorothy and William Murray; also, several nieces and nephews.

It was Ethel's request to be cremated and no funeral services.
