LEXINGTON, NC - Ester Ena Sheasby, age 105 of Lexington, North Carolina, formerly of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025. She was born on October 14, 1919 to the late Stanley and Ester Serretta Green in London, England.
Ester graduated from Boston School of Dental Nursing in 1939, and spent her working career as a dental assistant. She was married to Donald Sheasby for 61 years, where they lived in Chicago Heights, Illinois before moving to Tennessee in 1964.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Ester Green, husband, Donald James Sheasby, daughter, Donna Moore, and son-in-law, Frank Weider.
Ester is survived by her daughter, Andrea Weider, son Norman "Donald" (Mary Ann) Sheasby; grandchildren, Angela Carlson, Pamela Orvis, and Eric Sheasby; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Katie Carlson, Janine, Rebecca, Jacqueline and Jackson Orvis.
Ester will be laid to rest with her husband in Mountain Home National Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Ena’s passing. It was an honor and privilege to care for such an extraordinary person who lived a remarkable 105 years. Their wisdom, resilience, and the warmth they brought to those around them will always remain in my heart.
