Erica Leigh Alterio age 33 of Newtown passed away after a sudden illness on Tuesday, January 14th Calling hours will be Monday January 20, 2025 at Honan Funeral Home at 58 Main Street, Newtown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, at 10:30 a.m. Tues., January 21, 2025, at Saint Rose of Lima Church 46 Church Hill Rd, Newtown. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown. I was Erica´s 6th grade teacher and had a special connection with her. She made something in art class and gave it to me. I still have it and every time I look at it I smile and remember that young girl in my room. I often wondered how she was doing. I am broken hearted by this news. Prayers for her family, especially her little girl. May she know what a special person her mom was. Rest in God´s loving arms, Erica.

Erica was a lovely lady. A great 2nd cousin, wife,
Mom, daughter and sister. I remember when her and steph were little and lori brought them in to see my dad, uncle Marty in big y. I hears those familiar sounds of them saying uncle Marty uncle Marty
